【摘要】:ThispartofISO10993providesguidanceongeneralrequirementsforthedesignoftestsforidentifyingandquantifyingdegradationproductsfromfinishedmetallicmedicaldevicesorcorrespondingmaterialsamplesfinishedasreadyforclinicaluse.Itisapplicableonlytothosedegradationproductsgeneratedbychemicalalterationofthefinishedmetallicdeviceinaninvitroaccelerateddegradationtest.Becauseoftheacceleratednatureofthesetests,thetestresultsmaynotreflecttheimplantormaterialbehaviorinthebody.Thedescribedchemicalmethodologiesareameanstogeneratedegradationproductsforfurtherassessments.ThispartofISO10993isnotapplicabletodegradationproductsinducedbyappliedmechanicalstress.Whereproduct-groupstandardsprovideapplicableproduct-specificmethodologiesfortheidentificationandquantificationofdegradationproducts,thosestandardsshouldbeconsidered.Becauseofthewiderangeofmetallicmaterialsusedinmedicaldevices,nospecificanalyticaltechniquesareidentifiedforquantifyingthedegradationproducts.Theidentificationoftraceelements(
