【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusefulfordeterminingtheformicacidcontentofglacialaceticacidbychemicalmeans.Lowmolecularweightorganicacids(suchasaceticandpropionic),aldehydes(includingformaldehydeandacetaldehyde),ketones,andalcohols(includingmethylalcohol)donotinterferewiththetest.Formicacid(andotherreducingsubstances)maybepresentasaresultofcontaminationduringstorage,distribution,andmanufacture.Thistestmethodmaybeusedinassessingcompliancewithaspecification.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheformicacid(andotherreducingsubstances)contentofglacialaceticacidbyoxidationwithleadtetraacetate178;.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Forpurposesofdeterminingconformanceofanobservedoracalculatedvalueusingthistestmethodtorelevantspecifications,testresult(s)shallberoundedoff"tothenearestunit"inthelastright-handdigitusedinexpressingthespecificationlimit,inaccordancewiththerounding-offmethodofPracticeE29.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.5Forhazardinformationandguidance,seethesupplier''sMaterialSafetyDataSheets.
